Steph’s Brain Tumour Surgery
Hi, my beautiful sister Stephanie and her family have had a whirlwind past week. After experiencing dizziness at work last week and
fainting Stephanie was sent by her GP to get an MRI. This uncovered that she has a large brain tumour that needs to be surgically removed next Friday 6th August. The tumour is in a tricky location affecting the optic nerve and cerebral artery. Stephanie already has swelling on
the brain so the specialist has said they need to get the tumour out ASAP. This is a major surgery with a big recovery time.
Stephanie is a dedicated high school teacher who will be unable to work in her usual role for the next few months due to the type of
surgery required. Stephanie and Damien have 4 beautiful children, 3 who are still in school and at home.
While we don’t know the full extent of the recovery until the surgery is completed we know that she will need support from her husband
and he will need time off work too. We would love to be able to support her and the family during this time financially so they can focus on
the surgery and recovery rather than the stress of bills and regular costs that would normally be covered by work. Stephanie has always
been such a support and encouragement to those around her so it’s a great opportunity to give her and the family the love and support
they need to get through the next few months.
