Hi my name is Stephanie Rentes, I am 23 years old, and I just finished my first year of Nursing school. Long story short, in August of 2015 I was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma ( a Brain Tumor) and I had Neuro surgery on December 9, 2015 (which lasted 8 hours). I am currently trying to raise money so I'm able to pay off my medical bills. I am currently recovering, and working hard everyday to be able to be me again. Any donations will help out so much. I look at this as a life process that will futher strengthen me and hopefully raise awerness for other people like me. I know this will be a long recovery and journey, but with time and support of others I know I can conquer anything and be a successful nurse in the future, like I have always dreamed. I am thankful for my parents: Orestes and Cleonice Rentes and my brother Sylvester Rentes and all my friends that have been showing their support since day 1. Thank you.

   Hello people!! Today has been one day since I created this GoFundMe page and so far it has been a success. I want to thank everyone for their donations and I want to also thank everyone also for sharing my story.    Hey guys! Today is 3 days since I've made this page, but today is a great day because today I am offically 4 weeks post op and I am excatly where I said I wanted to be which is feeling 75% back to my old self. I start therapy in two days, but little by little I see improvement in my face and that makes me happy. Anyways, I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to my favorite cat lady aka Kathleen, your donation was so generous, and left me without words to express my thank you, I know it came from your heart :* Also a thank you to my twiny Tailuma and her fiance Andres for their personal donation. Truly blessed.

  Today is 8 days since I made this page and I am blessed and thankful for all the donations. I couldn't start therapy last week because of insurance issues, but it's fixed now, so I go tomrrow :) Thank you to my family and friends from Brasil, no matter the distance we are always together through thick and thin.

I know it's been a while since I updated. Today was a good day; my classmates at school are awesome, they showed a lot of support today in ways I never thought they would. Therapy is slowly going, and donations keep coming in, and I'm so thankful for my support system. Another update post to come in the near future. Praying for a miracle soon :)
