Stephen's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
This is Stephen LaScala’s journey. The man we call father, uncle, brother and son has been told he has terminal cancer. At the moment they are still trying to figure out where the cancer started because knowing the origin is important to fighting your battle with cancer. What we do know is he has stage 4 lung cancer, bone, throat and brain cancer. It has become systematic because he was misdiagnosed here in New Jersey. For more than 2 years the doctors kept telling him that there was nothing wrong with him. The only reason that they finally concluded he had cancer was because he had a large protruding tumor on his neck. He is now at the Cancer Treatment Center of America receiving preliminary treatments for the excruciating pain and undergoing numerous tests to help the doctors to see if they can make a plan for him and find where the cancer originated. We are praying every day that they will help him fight off this cancer. As you can imagine medical bills are extremely high and having to travel to treatment centers adds up. My uncle for the longest time did not think he deserved help, but now being at the Cancer Treatment Center of America, he has hope. He finally feels like he is worth the fight. However, seeking this help will be very costly. He worries when he returns that he will not have a job. Having such progressive cancer comes with substantial medical related bills. He worries about having a house to come home to because of the mortgage and no means of income. A person with cancer already has enough stress. I want to be able to relieve as much stress as I can so he can focus on getting better. Being a college student, I do not have the kind of money to help as I would like. So I am asking for help, I’m asking people to open up their hearts. Any donation is going to be greatly appreciated. I could not thank any one enough for donating, because what you are doing is something so amazing. You are helping someone live and fight against cancer. You have my eternal gratitude. Many thanks in advanced from my family and I. We appreciated these donations more than you could ever understand.
