Last evening, August 30th, my brother Stephen’s truck was stolen, along with thousands of dollars worth of tools, plus personal items including his phone and wallet. The theft happened while Stephen was inside a convenience store with the truck parked next to a gas pump outside. So far, nothing has been recovered.
This theft represents a major loss of many of Stephen’s business assets. He currently has jobs scheduled several months out, but it’s impossible to do the work without the missing equipment. Considering the impact of this theft, he's handling it amazingly well, even though he has nowhere near the financial resources to replace what’s been taken from him.
Stephen’s unusual generosity is familiar to those of us who know him. Now that he is facing a serious loss of his own, let’s use our opportunity to bless him as he has blessed so many others.
Please pray hard for Stephen, our family, and the person who took the truck. If you can, please give generously to help him recover and restore his business. Any way you can help will mean a lot to him. Thank you for caring.
I will withdraw the funds donated and transfer them to Stephen via cashiers check to be used to replace what's been lost and get back to work.
