Stephen's fundraising

Mi chiamo Stephen Kabila, attualmente sono uno studente del secondo anno presso l'Università Cattolica di Milano, del corso Economics and Management. Sono nato e cresciuto in Uganda, insieme a mio fratello maggiore e mia sorella minore. Sono cresciuto a Kampala, la capitale del paese, e ho ricevuto la mia istruzione primaria e secondaria dalle scuole del vescovo Cipriano Kihangire, dove mi sono iscritto grazie al Rev. Padre Giovanni Scalabrini, che era di Como, Italia. È stato lui a pagare le mie tasse universitarie, poiché non avevo un padre, poiché è morto quando ero piccolo.
Sono stato poi cresciuto da mia madre, Anek Rufina, che ha lottato per farmi frequentare le scuole migliori, anche se non poteva permetterselo. È stata poi aiutata da p. Giovanni Scalabrini, purtroppo scomparso. Per questo motivo, sono rimasto impotente e incapace di continuare con la scuola.
Su una buona nota, ho avuto l'opportunità di venire a studiare in Italia grazie ai benefici della borsa di studio Educatt, per la quale ho preso in prestito denaro e pagato tutte le quote che dovevo, all'università, come desideravo studiare e avere successo, in per poter poi avere una vita migliore a casa.
Sfortunatamente, ho incontrato molte sfide durante il mio primo anno accademico all'università, poiché ho cercato di inserirmi in una nuova società e, a causa della mancanza di attrezzature sufficienti per studiare correttamente (e in parte a causa di una malattia), ho perso i primi esami, il che ha reso un po 'difficile stare a passo con il corso, e passarli tutti entro il tempo prescritto (come concordato nei termini della borsa di studio).
Nonostante lo sforzo che avevo messo nello studio, ho perso la borsa di studio per un credito (29/30), il che significava che non c'era alcuna garanzia che potessi continuare i miei studi. La perdita della borsa di studio è arrivata con un enorme debito da saldare all'Università e alla residenza universitaria del Buonarroti, dove risiedo da anni precedenti, come di seguito illustrato:

⁃ Tassa universitaria per l'anno precedente 2019/2020: 2348,64 €
⁃ Quota di soggiorno per l'anno precedente 2019/2020: 382,64 €
⁃ Quota di soggiorno per l'anno in corso 2020/2021: 3800 €
⁃ Tassa universitaria per l'anno in corso 2020/2021: 3670 €

Ciò fa un totale di 10.201,28 €, che è impossibile per me pagare, dato il contesto economico della mia famiglia. Lavoro alla mensa scolastica, guadagno 400 €, che non può coprire le mie spese universitarie, poiché utilizzo questi soldi per aiutare mia madre, attualmente disoccupata.
È su questa nota che faccio appello a chiunque sia in grado di aiutarmi a tornare a studiare e realizzare il mio sogno di portare un impatto positivo sul mondo in crescita di oggi, anche se questa raccolta fondi, poiché questa sarebbe la mia ultima opzione per continuare i miei studi , se questa possibilità dovesse essere persa.
Mi appello umilmente a chiunque sia in grado di aiutarmi, in ogni modo possibile e con qualsiasi importo possibile. Sarà molto apprezzato. Grazie in anticipo e grazie per la tua gentilezza,

My name is Stephen Kabila, I currently am a second-year student at the Catholic University of Milan, studying Economics and Management. I was born and raised in Uganda, along with my elder brother and younger sister. I grew up in Kampala, the capital of the country, and received my primary and secondary education from bishop Cipriano Kihangire schools, where I was enrolled thanks to Rev. Father John Scalabrini, who was from Como, Italy. He was the one who paid for my tuition fees, since i didn’t have a father, as he passed away when I was young.
I was then raised by my mother, Anek Rufina, who struggled to put me through the best schools, even if she could not afford it. She was then helped by Fr. John Scalabrini, who unfortunately passed away. Because of this, I was left helpless and unable to continue with school.
On a good note, I got the opportunity to come study in Italy thanks to the benefits of the Educatt scholarship, for which I borrowed money and paid all the dues I had to, to the university, as I desired to study and succeed, in order to later have a better life back at home.
Unfortunately, I encountered a lot of challenges within my first academic year in university, as I tried to fit in a new society, and due to lack of enough equipment for studying properly (and partly due to sickness), I missed the first exams, which made it a bit difficult to catch up and pass them all within the prescribed time (as agreed in the scholarship terms).
Despite the effort I had put into studying, I missed the scholarship by one credit (29/30), which meant that there was no guarantee I could continue with my studies. The loss of the scholarship came with a huge debt to be paid to the university and to the university residence of Buonarroti, where I have been staying for the previous years, as illustrated below:
⁃ Tuition for previous year 2019/2020 : 2 348,64€
⁃ Residence fee for previous year 2019/2020 : 382,64€
⁃ Residence fee for the current year 2020/2021 : 3 800€
⁃ University fee for the current year 2020/2021 : 3 670€
This makes a total of 10 201,28€, which is impossible for me to pay, given my family’s economic background. I work at the school canteen, earning 400€, which cannot cover my university expenses, as I use this money to help my mother, who’s currently unemployed.
It is on this note that I appeal to any person who is able to help me go back to studying and realize my dream of bringing a positive impact on today’s growing world, though this fundraise, as this would be my last option to continue my studies, should this chance be lost.
I humbly appeal to any person capable of helping me, in any way possible with any amount they can. It will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance and thank you for your kindness,
