Stephen Worgan Support

As most of you know Steve is a bubbly, hard working & friendly character always willing to help anyone.

Sadly, Monday 11th April Steve had a fall which had tragically lead to him being airlifted to Cardiff Heath hospital & has left him with a fractured skull, a bleed on the brain & suspected brain damage. Steve underwent a major 5 hour brain surgery- to take apart of his skull away in order for his brain to have room to swell.

Steve is currently in intensive care, breathing on his own but still very unwell and sedated. Steve is currently having all his medications & fluid through a feeding tube, which will be the case for a while.

Steve is most likely to stay in intensive care for 1-2 months.

He is currently off a monitor which was breathing for him & holding his own which is amazing. However as he is high risk, they have stated if he was to catch any infection he would have to have to be put back into a sedated coma in order for his brain to heel.

As most of you know Steve is self employed and has run his own business for over 30 years. It is likely he will not be able to return to work for At least 6 months- if not at all. As you can imagine as well as the heart break that Steve’s family are going through with the news of his medical condition, they will struggle financially.

I’ve set this page up in order to support Hayley as much as possible in this hard time, when Steve is unable to work or will ever be able to go back to work.

Hayley is currently heartbroken over the news of her husband of 39 years, so this page is for people who are offering support to be able to help with the financial stress.

Steve is currently unresponsive but he is stable and is breathing on his own, hopefully he carries on being the fighter we all know & love.
