The Stephen Straus Highland Park Family Fund

Hi,

Our father, Stephen Straus, was killed at the Highland Park, IL, 4th of July Parade last week. A gentleman in every sense of the word, his loss has been felt throughout the community, but most of all within our family. He left behind his wife of 60 years, two sons, their wives, and four grandchildren. Stephen loved living in Highland Park and none of us could have imagined this ending. The support of his friends and family over these past days made it possible for us to navigate through this terrible tragedy. Yet we are committed to not letting his death define his life, which was marked by generosity, humor, and kindness. As we attempt to pick up the pieces and move forward, any help you can offer would be a tribute to his life and greatly appreciated by his surviving family.
