Stephen Schmergel, a loving husband to his wife of 47 years and devoted father of three daughters, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 terminal cancer. He was diagnosed with internal bleeding. Biopsies were performed, and it was determined that his cancer had metastasized to his lungs and other vital organs. Once treatment had begun many complications ensued. Unfortunately, after two treatments of chemotherapy, it was determined to be futile. Stephen is now resting at home with hospice care.
Steve has always been an incredibly generous and caring man. His involvement in helping people better their lives has been a priority of his for many years. We are calling upon our friends, relatives, and neighbors to give back what Stephen has given to so many others.
