Hi! My name is Sam Mrazek, partner of Tyler Grant, who is first cousin to Stephen Mailman from Glace Bay.

Stephen (pictured far left), only 31 years young- was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer after battling health issues all summer and losing over 100lbs.

Stephen, his mother Donna, and partner Erica are currently in Halifax while Stephen recovers from stomach surgery where it was discovered that the cancer has spread. Lengthy, frequent trips to Halifax are expected for chemotherapy and treatment. As we all know, during crisis -monthly bills do not stop and can pile up. Both Stephen and Erica have not been able work and have a mortgage, car payments and insurance (among many other bills) to pay for.

As the Cape Breton community has come together so many times in the past, let’s all come together for Stephen during this time. If you are able to donate even a small amount, we thank you. Every bit helps. All donations will go directly to Stephen and Erica.

Stephen is a young, vibrant (also hilarious) guy who is going to kick this cancers butt! He has done so much for the community already, it’s now our turn to help him.

This illness is too much for anyone to bear alone. Let’s lessen the burden for the Mailman family in any way we can
