"One year with Jennifer!!

It all started with agreeing to meet each other at a bar in Round Rock. A bar? That does sound rather cliché. However, it was back in the bad-old Pandemic was ragin’ days, so masks were required and needed.

We talked. We enjoyed our beers. We continued to communicate online. We went and did something social again the following weekend. Rinse. Lather. Repeat.

I’m working on a nice gift for her.

This is how Steve viewed the start of his relationship with Jennifer and was excited about getting to the one-year mark, They enjoyed two more years after that in which Jennifer moved in with Steve and started a new chapter. +

Unfortunately, Steve had a sudden cardiac event while at work on February 26th. Steven did not survive the event and unfortunately passed at work despite the best efforts of his co-workers and EMS.

Jennifer is now left trying to pick up the pieces. Steve did not have a Will and Jennifer is left fighting a battle with his parents who disowned him 20 years ago and have not had any contact with him. Proving common law marriage in Travis County is hard and expensive plus the expenses of having to go through probate. Jennifer will have lawyer expenses and those expenses of starting over. All while battling some of her own health issues, along with the needs of her special needs son.

In order to allow Jennifer an opportunity to grieve we would like to help take some of the burden of the expenses off her back. Jennifer will also take over responsibility for Steve’s beloved cats, one of which has special needs.
