Stephen Lach Celebration of Life
Donation protected
It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart that I inform you of the tragic and untimely passing of our beloved Stephen Lach on December 16th, 2023. Words cannot adequately convey the depth of our grief and the magnitude of our loss. Stephen was an extraordinary individual who touched the lives of so many with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to making the world a better place.
This has been very painful for my sister, Stacey. Spending every day with someone and then suddenly losing them can be incredibly painful. The holiday felt especially challenging for her, and she was in a foggy haze trying to make Christmas happen for her daughter. This all seems surreal and is difficult to process, not only for my sister but also for our family.
Stacey's life has been forever changed after experiencing a sudden, tragic loss. They had big dreams of building a farmhouse, raising cows, and spending the rest of their days singing, making music, hiking, kayaking, and learning new activities like golf and pickleball. They also loved playing games like Cribbage, Rook, Scrabble, and many more. Steve taught Brooklyn (niece), how to play drums and showed Ariah (stepdaughter) how to cook fish. Steve was passionate about sharing his many talents.
Stacey and Steve shared a love of music and performed all over. Steve was truly gifted, not just in music but also in culinary arts. Recently, he landed a job at Hospitality House in Grass Valley, where he could serve the community as a chef and share his talents with others. Steve was over the moon with excitement and had a plethora of ideas to make the Hospitality House even more special.
It's truly inspiring to witness the immense passion and dedication of people who strive to make a positive impact on the lives of others. In light of this, I have created a GoFundMe campaign to help relieve the financial burden of Steve's Celebration of Life on behalf of my sister, and to make a donation in Steve's memory to the Hospitality House.
The heartache and pain that accompany any loss are indescribable, but the sudden and unexpected nature of this tragedy makes it even more difficult to comprehend and accept.
His passing is a profound loss to our community, and all who knew him will feel his absence deeply. We will remember him for his infectious smile, funny sarcasm, warm heart, and unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and colleagues. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
