Yesterday, after leading a class through a burn at the fire academy for HFD my dad, Stephen Johnson, suffered a a major heart attack. It all started with pain in his back between his shoulder blades. He was walking back to his office to take some Motrin and had a weird feeling so he stopped at the medic unit on site and had them run a 12 lead EKG. They immediately recognized he was having a heart attack, loaded him up and took him to Memorial Hermann in the Medical Center. They took him straight to the Cath Lab. He had 100% occlusion of his right coronary artery they had to place two stents. He’s feeling much better today, but still has a long road ahead. He will be in the hospital for another few days and once he’s released they’re estimating he will be in cardiac therapy for the next 3-4 months. In that time he’s going to have many doctors appointments and won’t be able to work any of his 3 jobs. Many of his friends, family and work family have reached out to see if they can help financially to relieve some of his stress in the meantime, so we set up this page. We are SO grateful for everyone’s love and support for my dad during this time whether it’s financially, prayers or checking in and showing him some love! Thank you all so much and God bless!
