**In Memory of Stephen Glancy 9 September 1979 – 4 January 2026**
It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of our dear brother, uncle and friend Mr. Stephen Glancy of Mossend, who died unexpectedly on Sunday 4 January 2026, aged 46.
Stephen was truly the life and soul of any room he walked into. Known for his humour, warmth, and infectious personality, he had a rare ability to bring people together — whether through laughter, conversation, or simply being there when it mattered. He was the kind of man everyone wanted around, and the kind of friend everyone was grateful to have.
A proud football man and devoted Glasgow Celtic supporter, Stephen loved nothing more than watching a match and sharing the highs and lows with friends. Professionally, he worked with BAM Ritchies and many others in the Civil Engineering community, where he was well respected and formed strong friendships with many colleagues over the years — connections that extended well beyond the workplace.
Above all else, Stephen was kind, loyal, and generous with his time. He showed up for people — friends, family, colleagues — without hesitation and without needing to be asked. His love for his family was profound, and he held an especially deep bond with his mother, who was at the heart of his world.
Stephen’s passing has come as a devastating shock, leaving his family and loved ones not only grieving, but also facing the unexpected practical and financial pressures that accompany such a sudden loss.
This GoFundMe page has been created to help support Stephen’s family with immediate costs and arrangements, and to give all of us who knew and loved him a way to honour his memory in a meaningful, collective way.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will be deeply appreciated and will make a genuine difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page is equally valuable. Thank you for taking the time to remember Stephen and for supporting his family during this incredibly difficult time.
Stephen will be deeply missed, immensely remembered, and forever carried in the stories, laughter, and lives of those who continue to love him.
For those who shared the terraces, the televisions, and the moments in between — one of our own is gone, but never forgotten.
He’ll Always Walk On With Us.
