For 22 years, the Stephen Decatur Boys Soccer program has not reached the state tournament. This year, they beat all the odds to sweep the 3A tournament, making them the first team in the school to win a 3A state title. As one of the smallest schools in the class, they were the underdog from the beginning. Every match in the tournament was close, except the final, which ended in a beautiful 4-1 victory over Centennial High School.
This group of young men is special, not only because they won the championship but because of how they won. They are the very definition of what a team is. They are selfless players, who work together for the good of the team.
Please help us show them how valued they are by funding their championship rings, costs of celebration of this achievement, and community activities.
