Stephen Brown's ALLOgeneic Stem Cell Transplant

Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my dear friend Stephen Brown, who is currently facing an incredibly difficult medical journey.

On September 12th, 2024, Stephen was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS)—a rare and serious condition where the bone marrow doesn’t produce enough healthy blood cells. Since December 28th, 2024, he has been undergoing intensive chemotherapy to manage the disease.

Stephen is now preparing for the next critical step: a life-saving allogeneic stem cell transplant, scheduled to begin on June 3rd, 2025 at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.

This type of transplant involves replacing Stephen’s damaged bone marrow with healthy stem cells from a compatible donor. It’s a complex and high-risk procedure, but it offers the best chance for long-term survival and a cure. The process includes weeks of hospitalisation, followed by a lengthy recovery period requiring round-the-clock care and close medical monitoring.

Stephen and his loving wife Christine will need to relocate to Sydney for at least 100 days so he can receive this treatment and recover safely. Christine will be his full-time caregiver during this time, helping manage medications, appointments, meals, and daily support while far from home.

The emotional and financial toll of this journey is immense. We're asking for your help to ease the burden so Stephen and Christine can focus on healing, not finances.

Your donations will help cover:

  • Medical expenses and out-of-pocket costs
  • Food, travel, and daily living costs
  • Recovery support after hospital discharge

Stephen is strong and determined, and Christine is doing everything she can to care for him through this fight. Any donation—no matter how big or small—will make a meaningful difference.

If you’re unable to give financially, please consider sharing this campaign to help spread the word.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support, your kindness, and your prayers during this time.
