Stephen Ashe - The Battle He WILL Absolutely Win!

Hi everyone, Shane here. I've set up this gofundme for one of my teammates, Stephen Ashe.

Unfortunately, not so long ago, he has been told he is battling Cancer. Testicular cancer which turned out to be a fast aggressive form that has also spread to a lymph node in his stomach.

As captain of this team I wanted to make sure he and his family know he has our full support. 'Ashe' or 'Lloyd Christmas' as we call him (he will laugh at that) has been a member of Prestatyn Sports Fc since the beginning and has always given a lot to the cause. An absolute warrior on the pitch, someone youd want to go to war with on a match day but also one of the nicest lads off it. I have put an idea to the the lads and the club and they're all eager to be on board to raise some money and help Ashe spread awareness.

Ashe is currently going through an intense bout of chemotherapy to help rid of this and is having to travel up and down to the specialist testicular cancer center in Bangor.

Club members, current players and players of old are taking part in a 'Sponsored Walk' along the North Wales Coast. We plan to walk from our home pitch 'The Meadows' in Prestatyn to Holyhead. The idea being that we plan a route along the coast where we can stop at as many football grounds we have/he has played on down the years with us. The walk will probably take us 2 days in total - the plan being 10/12 hours a day, camping over somewhere and carrying on the next day.

We plan on doing this walk weekend of Dec 3rd/4th. (Tbc)

There are many a club down the coast that we plan to visit and I hope will all support us in doing this.

He is currently in good spirits and remains extremely positive. He has an amazing family by his side with a wife and beautiful child with him every step of the way.. He also has all the boys from Sports and we'll do what we can to help him.
