Hi, my name is Kayleigh, and I’m setting this page up with Hannah’s knowledge and blessing, simply because I want to help in any way I can during what is the most heartbreaking time of her life.

On Christmas Eve, Stephen sadly passed away after a very short but incredibly brave battle with cancer. He was surrounded by friends and family and left this world far too soon. Stephen was a beautiful man, kind, polite, thoughtful, and a true gentleman. His loss has been felt by so many people who followed his story, especially after he and Hannah married on 22nd November.

Many of you will remember that following Stephen’s diagnosis, a GoFundMe page was previously set up to help support Hannah and Stephen’s precious daughter, Liberty Rose. The generosity shown was absolutely incredible, and I want to make it very clear that those funds have been placed into a trust for Liberty Rose’s future. That kindness will stay with her forever.

However, this now means that the responsibility of arranging and funding Stephen’s funeral has fallen entirely on Hannah.

After speaking at length with Hannah, she was very unsure about another fundraiser being created. She knows how much people have already done and never wants to feel like she’s asking too much, especially at a time when people are already struggling after Christmas. But the reality is that Stephen deserves a beautiful send-off, and Hannah is currently facing the full financial burden of funeral costs alone.

We have looked into every possible avenue for help, including grants and support schemes which have all been applied for in the hope that some costs could potentially be covered. At present, the funeral is estimated to cost around £6,000 (with final costs yet to be confirmed), and there has been no financial support offered towards this at present. This fundraiser exists purely to help ease that pressure, so Hannah can focus on grieving, healing, and caring for Liberty Rose, rather than worrying about how she will manage to pay for her husband’s funeral alone.

I completely understand the timing is difficult, and I truly appreciate that many people have already donated previously. There is absolutely no pressure whatsoever to give. Even reading Stephen’s story, sharing this page, or keeping Hannah and Liberty Rose in your thoughts means more than I can put into words. If you are able to donate, even £1 please know that every single penny helps and will go directly towards giving Stephen the dignified, loving farewell he deserves.

Stephen was someone who valued family deeply and took comfort in knowing the people he loved were around him. At times like this, coming together, in whatever way each person is able, can make an immeasurable difference. Supporting Hannah now isn’t just about covering costs, it’s about ensuring Stephen is honoured with the dignity, love, and respect he showed throughout his life.
