Funeral services for my Mom.

UPDATE:  "The minimum $3,000 goal was reached by Stephanies friends, family and community.  As her friend, I have raised the amount to $4,000 since the actual funeral costs are over $4,600.  The amount already raised has taken a GIANT burden off of her and her family.  Anything additional is an added bonus.  The funeral costs are already at a bare minimum (no enbalming, no flowers, no dress for her Mom).  Stephanie is very hesitant to ask for more since she has already received so much, but as her friend, I have told her it's okay to allow people to keep donating in hopes that she can get the entire funeral paid for without tapping into her families Christmas money.  These last ten hours during this fundraiser have restored our faith in friends, family, and humanity.  Thank you....thank you!!!!"

My Mom passed away suddenly on 12/12/14 of a heart attack.  My brother (her son) died just 6 months ago.  She would like to be buried next to her son, but we don't have the funds for a funeral/burial.  The funeral is scheduled for 12/18/2014 and all funds have to be paid up front.  Mom lived on SSI and didn't have any personal posessions.  My brother and I are her only living kids.  We were not expecting such a tragic event to happen this close to Christmas.  The funeral cost is $4659.52.  Of which I have spent our family Christmas money which was $650 to purchase the burial plot.  



I hate to ask for donations, but it is needed badly.  Anything will help us!
