Our beautiful niece Stephanie has been battling this horrible cancer called Hodgkins Lymphoma for over 2 years now. She is an amazing mother of 3 wonderful kids Jaden 13, Julius 11, and her little princess Jia just 3 years old who need her every second of their life, besides her family, and boyfriend Kenny who has not left her side.
Stephanie loves to bake and enjoys cooking, and boy can she cook . She loves to entertain and have BBQ's. This has shocked us all, a beautiful girl full of life and so energetic and still managed to be a great mom to her 3 lovely kids, she forces herself to get out of bed and do whatever is needed; breakfast, lunch & dinner. There has not been a day her children have not had a home cooked meal. She also gets the kids ready for school, homework, projects etc. Supermom she is!
Our Stephanie is in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City for a month 1/2 for her intense chemo. A week after her chemo Stephanie will get her stem cell transplant that unfortunately will make her very ill and weak, especially because her immune system is very low. She had a blood transfusion to get her platelets up because they where low at (1900), they need to be up to 30,000.
Stephanie is kept in quarantine were her visitation is kept at a limit which makes her very sad.
This is taken a toll on her especially not being able to see her children. It's to a point that FaceTime is not enough she cries for her children every night. We tell her, keep your head up baby girl the lord has you under his wings and the kids are in good hands.
We live in New Jersey and with our job schedules, it's very difficult for us to visit her on a regular basis. We try taking turns traveling to NY, pay the tolls daily, and sit with her for a few hours. 2 people are allowed at once but due to her conditions they can only visit for a short period at a time. Kenny skips work a few times a week to stay with her, it's putting a strain at his job and he is a bit trepidatious of losing his job.
Stephanie's insurance does not pay for a nurse, so when she gets released to the Hope Lodge in NY where she will stay for 2 weeks, she will be on her own without a nurse by her side. We humble ourselves and ask for your help to get our Precious niece through this difficult time. We need our Stephanie cured and back home with us.
