Dave Gottschall is a dear friend and colleague who is facing unimaginable loss after his beloved wife, Stephanie, passed away suddenly during a courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind Dave and their beautiful 18-month-old daughter, Olive. Dave is now faced with rebuilding his life without Stephanie’s love and guidance and ensuring that Stephanie’s strength and memory live on in their daughter.

Stephanie, age 36, was an amazing wife and mother, trying her best to remain strong and support her family during her treatments and the complex challenges that accompanied them. Stephanie worked as a physical therapist, touching the lives of those she cared for, then touching the lives of the medical staff who cared for her.

Dave is a devoted husband and father, and a very talented meat cutter at Hitching Post Meats, a local butcher shop. Dave uses his skills to support local farmers and provide healthy food to families in Steuben County, NY, and the surrounding communities. He worked tirelessly at this physically demanding job while caring for Olive and supporting Stephanie during her medical treatments. Now Dave must use Stephanie’s strength to carry on without her.
