Celebration of Life for Stephanie Leon

Dear family and friends,

I am writing to you today about the sudden passing of my mother, Stephanie Leon. A beloved daughter, mother, aunt, godmother, and friend. She was found unresponsive in her home on the morning of Thursday, December 12th.

We are absolutely devastated by Stephanie’s sudden passing and are struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of the service to celebrate her life. She endured and fought with her health for many years, struggling with diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease.

Despite all of her pains and battles, she maintained a happy and positive attitude. My mother was the most giving person I know and was always grateful for the littlest things. She was the kind of person who would give a stranger the shirt off her back in their time of need. She reminded everyone in her life how beautiful they were every time she saw them. If you had the privilege of knowing Stephanie, I know you have felt the warmth of her love and kindness.

Stephanie’s obituary can be found here when available. Funeral service for Stephanie will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Friday, December 20th, 2024, at 7:30 pm. Visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until time of service.

Querida familia y amigos,

Les escribo hoy para informarles del fallecimiento repentino de mi madre, Stephanie Leon. Una querida hija, madre, tía, madrina y amiga. Fue encontrada sin respuesta en su hogar la mañana del jueves 12 de diciembre.

Estamos absolutamente devastados por la repentina partida de Stephanie y estamos luchando para reunir los fondos necesarios para cubrir el costo del servicio y celebrar su vida. Ella enfrentó y luchó con problemas de salud durante muchos años, enfrentando diabetes, presión arterial alta y enfermedades cardíacas.

A pesar de todos sus dolores y batallas, mantuvo una actitud feliz y positiva. Mi madre era la persona más generosa que he conocido y siempre estaba agradecida por las cosas más pequeñas. Era el tipo de persona que le daría su propia camisa a un desconocido en un momento de necesidad. Ella les recordaba a todos en su vida lo hermosos que eran cada vez que los veía. Si tuvieron el privilegio de conocer a Stephanie, sé que sintieron el calor de su amor y bondad.
