Stephanie was born with a condition called SCIDs, which means she was born without an immune system. Since she was one week old she's been in the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. We were there for 4 months waiting for her to get big enough for a bone and marrow transplant. After receiving it she was suppose to get better but her body has rejected the donor cells. Now she is 7 months old and about to be admitted for a second time. This time she will be receiving chemotherapy treatment prior to getting her bone and marrow transplant. She will be in the hospital anywhere from two-six months this time around.
