Stephanie's Story

I am raising money for my cousin/god-daughter Stephanie to help her pay for ongoing medical treatments. Over the past couple years I have seen how much her medical hardships have impacted her life. Finally she is getting some much needed answers but unfortunately its at a great cost. Please take a moment to read Stephanie's story below in her own words:

Over the last 2.5 years, I have had two surgeries for endometriosis. As a result of the surgeries, I developed numerous complications which have negatively impacted my quality of life and left me unable to work. I am in constant pain and have been unable to find the support and treatments I need in Canada. We have attended Mayo Clinic for the last week for consultations, testing and treatments and have been met with unexpected medical costs in looking for answers to my ongoing declining health and chronic pain. During consultations, the specialists at Mayo Clinic have diagnosed me with a severe and complicated case of pelvic floor dysfunction. They have advised me to return for the intensive pelvic floor dysfunction biofeedback program for two weeks with twice a day treatments. Unfortunately the cost of this program is over $12,000 US. Additional consultations with the pelvic pain specialists will be over $2000.00 plus the cost of additional treatments and tests. This specialized program is only available at Mayo Clinic and has a very high success rate.
