If I'm being honest, I truly don't know where to begin...
Last week sometime, I was at my friends house and I happened to notice some new neighbors had moved in above her. I introduced myself and my friend, and told them about the 2 little kids they would likely see running around this summer. She introduced her self as Stephanie, told us about her husband Ivory and the kids she had as well. Thinking nothing of it we went to sleep and a few days later, while eating we noticed a moving truck in the front. My friend had the idea to go help and let me tell you, this family was so incredibly grateful for our help. We got to talking as we helped and very quickly we could see what a great family they truly were. We got to talking about where they were coming from and what they do for a living, where they go to church and how old their kids were. By the end of us helping, Stephanie offered to bake the kids some cookies for their help. Our kids were super excited about the cookies and later that night they enjoyed them right before going to bed.
Unfortunately, just a few short days later, her husband stopped to help me unload a few bikes out of my truck and as he was helping he broke down and told me that his wife had just passed earlier today. In disbelief I stumbled over my words and just hugged a man I had only met 2 times while he cried and explained what happened.
I'm not sure this will help, nor go very far but its worth a shot. This was the type of woman who, after packing, and loading a uhaul then unloading it, went through her belongings, and still managed to whip up some cookies for us before she went to sleep. I never truly got to know Stephanie but based on that night, I know all I needed to know about what type of person, mother and wife this wonderful woman was.
If you can spare anything at all it would be greatly appreciated and would go to a family who had recently set out on a new adventure together only to have tragedy hit them hard.
Thank you
