My name is Stephanie, or as some of you may know me as inky on Twitch. I am a mother to 3 beautiful, amazing children! I love to make people laugh, or just simply smile on a bad day.

On February 19th my life was drastically turned upside down. Only being 43 years old, I was diagnosed with stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma also known as breast cancer. I have recently had back to back surgeries, including a hysterectomy and a lumpectomy on my right breast. All of my genetic testing, HER2 markers, margins from my lumpectomy came back with great results, everything was looking up. Unfortunately when my lump was tested in California my cancer came back more complex than what the doctors had previously expected. I was expected to only need radiation and a very low likely chance of needing chemotherapy. On May 15th I had an appointment at Rowell Cancer Institute with my oncologist to discuss the results of the testing of my lump and was told that I will be needing 4 rounds of chemotherapy over a time period of 3 months, as well as radiation following 5 times a week for 4 weeks, and a pill that I will need to take every single day of my life for 5 years following the radiation. This news was devastating, specially since all that was anticipated was surgery and radiation.

I have been out of work due to my hysterectomy and cancer diagnosis since January of this year. I am reaching out, asking for help during this time so that I may be able to comfortably keep a roof over mine and my children's heads during this time. I will be in chemotherapy for 3 months and radiation therapy for a month following. ANYTHING helps, please take care of yourself first and if you have anything to spare, I am asking for help.
