Stephanie Manriquez Memorial Scholarship for AEEF

On November 23rd, our family unexpectedly lost our cousin, sister, daughter, niece, partner and friend Stephanie Manríquez to Covid-19.
For 25 years, we were lucky enough to have been loved by her. Stephanie was a guide, a life teacher, and would change the people she touched. She was honest and caring. She was hilarious and intelligent. She was strong and compassionate. She was beautiful, and powerful. She enjoyed the little things in life, like the wind in her face, fireworks on the 4th of July, trying new foods, laughing at weird jokes and drinking her fav bubble tea. She loved...oh how she loved.
One of Stephanie's asperations was to give back to the East Aurora community. It was the community that saw her grow from a child to a college graduate. From East Aurora, to Waubonsee, and later Aurora University, Stephanie loved this community and wanted to help others fulfill their potential as well, through education.
Stephanie found her dream job working for her alma mater, East Aurora High School, just months before her passing. Through her work at EA, she hoped to encourage and motivate young minds to give back to their community as well. Our family would love to keep her memory alive and her desire to help others in the EA community through a memorial scholarship. This donation will help the desire of Stephanie to help others live on for years to come.

El 23 de noviembre, nuestra familia perdió inesperadamente a nuestra prima, hermana, hija, sobrina, pareja y amiga Stephanie Manríquez a causa de Covid-19.
Durante 25 años, tuvimos la suerte de haber sido amados por ella. Stephanie era una guía, y una maestra de vida.. Ella fue honesta y cariñosa. Ella era divertida e inteligente. Ella era fuerte y compasiva. Ella era hermosa y poderosa. Disfrutaba de las pequeñas cosas de la vida, como el viento en la cara, los fuegos artificiales el 4 de Julio, probar nuevas comidas, reírse de chistes extraños y beber su té de burbujas favorito. Ella amaba la vida.
Una de las aspiraciones de Stephanie era retribuir a la comunidad de East Aurora. Fue la comunidad la que la vio crecer de niña a graduada universitaria. Desde el Este de Aurora hasta Waubonsee y más tarde la Universidad de Aurora, Stephanie amaba esta comunidad y quería ayudar a otros a desarrollar su potencial también a través de la educación.
Stephanie encontró el trabajo de sus sueños trabajando para su alma mater, East Aurora High School, pocos meses antes de su fallecimiento. A través de su trabajo en EA, esperaba alentar y motivar a las mentes jóvenes a retribuir también a su comunidad. A nuestra familia nos encantaría mantener viva su memoria y su deseo de ayudar a otros en la comunidad de EA a través de una beca conmemorativa. Esta donación ayudará al deseo de Stephanie de ayudar a otros por mucho mas tiempo.
