Stephanie Larson's family

Matt and Stephanie shared love, a wonderful life and beautiful children.
When dreams end, it can bring overwhelming sadness.

Tragically, Stephanie passed away due to complications of childbirth after the
birth of her 3rd child. She is survived by her husband, Matt and her three young
children: Henry (3),  Alexandra (2), and Nathaniel (newborn) as well as her
parents Richard and Salli Schwartz, brothers Adam and Scott (Gayle) Schwartz,
nephews Justin and Ryan Schwartz and extended family and friends.

Stephanie was an inspiration to everyone that she met. When she smiled, her eyes
smiled too and that infectious smile brightened anyone's day. She was an amazing
mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend.

Stephanie had a fulfilling career as a physical therapist, providing care to many
patients recovering from a stroke or spinal cord injury. She specialized in providing
custom wheelchairs and adaptive equipment to patients who needed them
throughout the DC and Virginia areas. Stephanie later became a Rehab Manager
who helped to direct and grow  the outpatient rehab program at the Inova
Rehabilitation Center, as well as provide mentorship and support to her staff.

Stephanie's family meant to the world to her; they were her everything.  She was
the happiest when spending time with them.  Her dedication and abiding
commitment to her family was so strong that she made the difficult decision to
leave her career as a physical therapist and manager to fully commit herself as
caregiver to her children.

Stephanie's family is now faced with the impossible task of navigating the
raising of her three children while grieving the loss of an incredible woman.
Without a doubt, when someone needed help, Stephanie was the first in line to
provide. So now, we are hoping to provide financial support to the family to
lighten the burden of childcare, medical expenses, and memorial costs during this
time of bereavement.

It has been said “It is the people you meet along life’s pathway who make the
journey worthwhile”. Without a doubt, many lives are more richly blessed because
their paths crossed with Stephanie’s in this lifetime. Stephanie was a beacon of
light, touching the lives of everyone that she met. She was the best of us. If you can
and so desire, please help us to support her family and share her legacy.
