Hello everyone,

On April 8, 2026, we loss our family member Stephan Edwards to brain cancer. Stephan was diagnosed in February 2025 a month before his 33rd birthday with a Glioblastoma tumor. He passed away 10 days after his 34th birthday.

It was our hope that the surgery, chemo and radiation would have prolonged his life a bit longer than it did. In March 2026, we received the devastating news that Stephan's tumour was unresponsive to treatment and that the cancer had spread. The doctors informed us that there was nothing further they could do for our loved one and that Stephan would have weeks to months to live.

Stephan is survived by his mother and grandmother. Stephan resided at home and was an only child. Stephan enjoyed photography, travelling, concerts, comedy shows, playing and watching basketball and spending time with his friends. His passing has left a hole in all of our hearts.

When Stephan was diagnosed, he took out a life insurance policy. The life insurance company has refused to pay the policy out. There is a clause in the policy that requires the policy holder to pay into the policy for a minimum of two years, to guarantee the payout of the policy. The insurance company is willing to provide my Aunt with the monies paid in to the policy but this will not be enough to cover expenses.

This GoFundMe is being made to assist my Aunt with the cost of the funeral, bills and additional expenses that come with the passing of a love one who was a contributor to the household.
