Stephan and Melissa Kolb

Hello my name is Courtney Hubrig, I am the daughter of Melissa and Stephan. I am starting a gofundme for my Stephan and Melissa Kolb. On Sept 16th Stephan had gone to a follow up appointment at the University of Minnesota, at his appointment his pressures in his heart were not good. The doctors at U of M decided it would be best for him to stay and be hospitalized. They had started talking about and considering the LVAD heart pump and heart transplant. The doctors, Stephan and mom have decided that the heart transplant is the best option for Stephan. Stephan has to stay in the hospital until a heart is available. We have no idea how long that stay could be.

We are asking for help with all the medical bills they will be receiving. Mom will also be commuting back and forth as she is still working. So we are asking for help with the travel cost and hotel cost. They also have a dog that they have to board while mom is commuting back and forth.

Stephan has already had one surgery during his stay at U of M. On Tuesday Sept 21st he had a stent placed through his right leg and groin up to his heart, they had to go and remove that stent and place it through his right shoulder/ chest area. He also had a balloon pump placed that will have to stay in until he gets a heart.
