Steph's Surgery Help Fund

Hello All,

I am reaching out on behalf of Stephanie because she would never ask for help on her own.  Steph is suffering from a degenerative bone disease focusing around her jaw bones/ teeth/ and inner ear bones and needs restorative surgery (primarily focusing on reconstruction and bone grafting).  Over the last few years especially, the condition has caused her great pain, misery, shame, and a constant feeling of hopelessness.  It breaks my heart to know she feels like this about something beyond her control, and we have tried everything we can to handle this swiftly and privately.  But...we need help.

Steph scheduled an appointment after we had saved a significant amount of money and met with her surgeon only to find the damage had expanded and the cost was now well above our savings.  Her pain has intensified, secondary problems are now showing themselves, and her quality of life has been impacted greatly.  It's crucial that she receives this treatment now, and she needs our help. 

So I am reaching out and crying for help for this beautiful soul who has dedicated herself to the service of nonprofit causes.  She has spent her working life raising awareness for Muscular Dystrophy, environmental issues, and her latest position (which sadly was taken away due to our current Covid crisis), BM4K.  At BM4K she literally worked her butt off to send children and their families on unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime (and sadly sometimes last worldly) experiences to Disney.  

Please friends, family, or whoever feels inclined - We need your help during this difficult time.  We have a raised over half of the funds needed but we are $10,000 short of what we need to move forward.

Hello all,
I just wanted to give a quick update.  Steph has the first part of her surgery tomorrow 11/3.  We just wanted to say thank you all so much for jumping in our corner.  The kindness and love that has been shown has been powerful and unforgettable.  Truly thank all of you!  Without your kind words, shares, and donations we would be lost and still trying to find a way to move forward.  I will continue to update as we move along.
