In one of life’s most extraordinary twists of fate, Steph Paciotti and Piper Whiteley-two incredible mothers-are united by something far deeper than friendship. Their story is one of courage, selflessness, and the unshakable bond friendship.
What began with tragedy is now a powerful reminder of the good we are capable of when we show up for one another.
A Life-Saving Gift
Piper’s journey has been nothing short of miraculous. After surviving Maternal Toxic Shock Syndrome, she was left in severe kidney failure. She’s been on dialysis ever since, battling through endless challenges while raising her two young children, Sailor (1st grade) and Rhodes (Pre-K).
Because Piper has a large amount of antibodies, finding a kidney donor seemed nearly impossible- until her friend, Steph, offered the most selfless gift one human can give another: a kidney.
On May 7th, Steph will undergo surgery to give Piper the second chance she so deeply deserves.
The Power of Motherhood
Steph, a mom herself, raising Olive (4th grade) and Neve (1st grade) alongside her husband, Eric. In the midst of caring for her own family, Steph made the courageous decision to step into the unknown and offer her friend the gift of life.
What makes this even more beautiful? Sailor and Neve are in the same first-grade class at Meadowlark. Two little girls who share crayons and giggles-while their moms quietly prepare for a miracle.
This is motherhood. This is friendship. This is hope in action.
