What is the Impact?:
Join the Leadership team of Consulting and Educational Center of NY as we make an impact on the community by supporting The Parris Foundation: S.T.E.M.ulating Minds program. The Parris Foundation is dedicated to promoting educational opportunities and fostering awareness in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) via scholarships and community outreach programs. The Parris Foundation currently fulfills its mission by:
· Servicing disenfranchised communities in inner city NY, by providing access to STEM education
· Providing scholarships to students from disadvantaged, socio-economic backgrounds enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in a STEM discipline
· Collaborating with organizations focused on improving access to technology for low-income families
Many of The S.T.E.M.ulating Minds participants come from low-income households and would benefit from leveraging education to break the cycle of poverty in their family. The S.T.E.M.ulating Minds program curricula include innovative and interactive software and teaching techniques that participants love! Over a single session (8-15 weeks), weekend enrichment participants show marked improvements in math & science with an average increase of 1-2 letter grades.
Why should I help?
90% of students living in poverty are not proficient in math, or ready for college. The U.S. has lagged behind other countries in terms of global competitiveness in recent years; competitiveness will only improve if we start molding the next generation of innovators at a young age.
You will be making an impact in the lives of NYC Youth. The Parris Foundation equips disenfranchised students with the tools needed to pursue STEM disciplines, academically and professionally. The Parris foundation programs provide extended learning opportunities to supplement and enhance in-school learning.
As S.T.E.M.ulating Minds expands to more locations to serve more youth, there are growing needs for resources like: computers, robots, books, supplies, tutors and other items that aid The Parris Foundation in executing successful programs.
We'd like to invite you to please make a difference by donating whatever you can and spreading the word so that we can impact and influence as many young lives as possible.

$25 - Supplies: Notebooks, Binders & Pencils etc. (for 1yr)
$50 - Math and Science Book
$100 - Pay for two College Application Fees
$150 - Math or Science Software (1yr)
$200 - Science Lesson Supplies and Toolkits
$300 - 6 Weeks of Tutoring Sessions
$500 - Laptop / Tablet
$1,000 - Robot Building Kits
$2,500 - Summer Research Fellow Scholarship (College)
$4,000 - Entry to S.T.E.M.ulating Minds Program for 1yr
