What is the Impact?:
Many of The S.T.E.M.ulating Minds participants come from low-income households and would benefit from leveraging education to break the cycle of poverty in their family. The S.T.E.M.ulating Minds program curricula include innovative and interactive software and teaching techniques that participants love! These activities reinforce what students learned and allows for improved comprehension. Over a single session (8-15 weeks), weekend enrichment participants show marked improvements in math & science with an average increase of 1-2 letter grades. Middle school participants add an average of 2 1/2 months to their school year through The Parris Foundations’s Weekend Enrichment and tutoring programs.

Whether you're great, good or fair at Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), you can help make an impact on inner-city youth.

Why should I help?:
Join the Leadership team of CECNY as we make an impact on the community by supporting The Parris Foundation: S.T.E.M.ulating Minds program. The program exposes middle school youth from multiple boroughs in New York City to STEM. It prepares them for state Math and Science assessments and teaches participants the fundamentals of computer programming and robotics. As S.T.E.M.ulating Minds expands to more locations to serve more youth, there are growing needs for resources like: computers, robots, books, supplies, tutors and other items that aid The Parris Foundation in executing successful programs.
