Stem Cells for Miss K

Hello friends, family and kind members of the community!

My name is Ali Callahan and my incredible niece is about to undergo a very exciting treatment to improve her quality of life. Currently, she is preparing to head for her first round of stem cell treatment in Panama with her mom, dad and baby brother. This treatment is currently not offered inside of North America, but has significant backing and results in assisting with a variety of health conditions.

Kennedy is a champion kiddo who was born with Spina Bifida. She was operated on in utero and has been through a variety of other procedures and therapies since. Her family has pushed through and crushed every obstacle they have faced so far. We are all beyond hopeful that Miss K will see a drastic improvement in physical function of areas in her nervous system as well as avoid possible future surgeries that are currently expected.

As you would imagine, this is not an inexpensive route to take, and is not covered by insurance. Each trip incurs around 20-23k in costs, and it is likely there will be more than one treatment needed. I am currently setting the goal to one trips worth of expenses in hopes to help give them some peace of mind so they can focus on their kids.

This family is not one to look for a hand out. That said, along with other fundraisers in the works, I will stick my hand out and offer this platform for anyone who is wanting/willing to contribute. Anything will ease the stress and financial burden this family is about to carry, and we sincerely appreciate any help that you can offer.

Any residual funds from the collective fundraising will be donated back to Five Counties and other organizations in the community that have been a part of Kennedy’s journey so far.
