Stem Cells for Jade Thomson

Can you imagine being so weak that you need to use a wheelchair. Simple things like having a shower feel like you have physically climbed Mt. Everest.  Instead of going on romantic meals out with your partner he has become your carer, you are only 35 and he has to wash you because you don't have the strength or energy to do it yourself. Imagine not getting to see outside of your house for no more than 3 or 4 times a year. Imagine losing whole chunks of memory and not being able to recall a simple word you used a thousand times before. Imagine not being able to go to your son's football matches or school plays or help him with homework and instead of spending the last 5 years caring for him he has ended up caring for you when he should be having a carefree childhood not the worry of watching a sick mum struggle everyday. Now add to that daily intense migraines and pain beyond belief that just does not go away all because you were the unlucky one to be bitten by a tick carrying Lyme disease. Imagine trying every treatment you can to never improve and just watch life pass you by.

This is Jade's everyday!

Jade is one of the most kind, compassionate and genuinely caring person you will ever meet but she needs our help. She has spent the last 5 years getting gradually worse with Lyme disease to the point where she has no quality of life. Lyme disease is a neurological illness caused by becoming infected by a bacteria from a tick bite. It affects every organ of your body and leaves you with symptoms akin to Alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis and a quality of life worse than that of someone with congestive heart failure. It literally takes away life as you know it and you have zero control over any of it.

Jade's illness went undiagnosed by the NHS for years with the bacteria doing damage to her body and immune system without anyone stopping it. By the time a doctor was able to help Jade it was too late. The damage had already been done. Imagine if you will a house on fire. You can put out the fire but what are you left with? You are left with the damage and if that damage is not repaired how can you ever comfortably live in that house again?

This is where the revolutionary treatment in Infusio Stem Cell Clinic in Franfurt Germany comes in. These stem cells repair the damage to Jade's body from the inside and slowly repair her weakened immune system. Stems Cells have a huge success rate of 85% for those with Lyme disease so how can we not give her this chance to live life again. I am testimony to how stem cells work. I myself spent a long 17 years and suffered heart failure from undiagnosed lyme disease. This time last year I was bedbound when a wonderful friend decided she couldn't take no for an answer and started my fundraising campaign for my stem cell treatment. I got my stem cells in September and whilst I am still healing my life has completely changed. I can participate in life again. I can travel!! I can have fun and conversations with my husband without it being too painful.
Jade deserves more than anyone I know this second chance at life too. All that stands in her way is raising the money needed but that is where we can help her. No donation is too small. No fundraising idea is too silly. Let's get together as her friends and have fun raising this money that will literally give Jade her life back and the chance to be Joe's mum again before it is too late!
So here is your chance to donate what you can, share her fundraising campaign, organise a table quiz , coffee morning or sponsored walk.  Every little event will add up and show Jade what she really means to us. No matter how ill she is, she has never stopped being a great friend or support for others in her position. So let's all pull together to give her her life back!
