Bill Cook was an avid runner and bicyclist in Zanesville, Ohio, and enjoyed hunting and mountain bike racing with his sons Adam and Andy. His life changed September 29,2013 when he was involved in a bicycle accident, breaking his neck and injuring his spinal cord. He was paralyzed from the neck down. Through months of physical therapy, he learned to walk again, but is still weak. His muscles are stiff and he has trouble walking, keeping his balance, and working. He has had 2 surgeries on his neck to help improve his strength. Because of the spasms, he isn't able to walk very far or fast, and isn't able to enjoy everyday activities or hobbies. His doctor feels stem cell treatment can help to decrease the spasms in his arms, legs, and trunk will make it easier for him to walk. This treatment is not paid for by insurance, and costs over $6,000. We would like to schedule the treatment in November, but we must raise the funds before then. Your support would be greatly appreciated, as this treatment is expensive and is Bill's best chance at recovery and enjoying life.
