Stem Cell Hope for Gavin's Autism Journey

Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Strangers, We’re reaching out today with open hearts and a deep, urgent hope for our son, Gavin. Gavin is 12 years old. He has severe, non-verbal autism and also battles medical issues, including seizures. Every day is a challenge for him — and for us as his parents — but Gavin is also filled with a quiet resilience and a spark that continues to shine through even the hardest moments. He is our whole world. Lately, though, things have grown even more difficult. Gavin’s aggressive behaviors have escalated to the point that we are genuinely concerned for the safety of those around him — and for his own. He’s not able to tell us when something is wrong, when he’s hurting, or why he’s upset. The frustration and confusion he must feel breaks our hearts, and the emotional toll this takes on him and our family is growing heavier by the day. We love our son fiercely and have tried everything we can to give him the best life possible. But we’re running out of options, and that’s why we’re turning to something we truly believe could change everything: stem cell therapy. This isn’t a cure, but for children like Gavin — those with profound autism — this treatment has shown incredible promise abroad. Families have reported meaningful improvements in speech, social engagement, and most importantly, a significant reduction in aggressive and self-injurious behaviors. Imagine Gavin being able to tell us he’s in pain. To point to what he wants. To find peace instead of fear when his world becomes overwhelming. Maybe even — one day — to say “I love you.” We’ve found a clinic offering this therapy, and we’re ready to do whatever it takes to get Gavin there. But the cost is substantial — far more than we can manage on our own. Travel, lodging, and the medical treatment itself add up quickly. We know the world is full of needs and causes. But if Gavin’s story touches your heart, we humbly ask for your support. Every donation — no matter how small — brings us closer to hope, healing, and safety for our son. And if you’re not in a place to give, just sharing Gavin’s story means more than we can say. Thank you for loving Gavin with us. Thank you for seeing him. Thank you for believing in his potential when words fail him. With endless gratitude, Kat & Matt (Loving parents to our brave, beautiful boy, Gavin)
