This is Stella Rose a beautiful, happy, little 14 month old baby girl. She is the daughter of Joe and Elizabeth Arde. Behind the bright smile and those brown curls is a little girl who is fighting for her life. At 7 weeks old Stella was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a life threatening condition where the bile ducts in and out of the liver do not have normal openings. Just three weeks ago Stella was diagnosed with Hepatopulmonary Syndrome due to the damage to her liver, requiring her to be on oxygen around the clock. She is now at the top of the list for a liver transplant.
Joe and Elizabeth are doing whatever it takes to help their beautiful daughter. Despite all the risks, Elizabeth is undergoing a series of tests to see if she is a match for her daughter, If so she will donate a part of her liver. Both parents continue to work and care for their other two daughters. With Stella and possibly Elizabeth both being in the hospital, it will put additional stress and strain on the family. We are asking if you could help the Arde family by making a donation of any amount towards Stella’s fight. She is a little fighter and has a long road ahead of her.
