Arctic Challenge 2027: An Industry United for Moya Cole Hospice

In January 2027, a team of 18 people mainly from across the digital infrastructure industry will head to Finland to take on a six-day Arctic Trek with one ambitious goal: to raise £1million for Moya Cole Hospice.

Led by Stellanor Datacenters and delivered in partnership with Platform Global, the challenge brings together mainly customers, partners, suppliers, peers and friends from across our industry. It is an opportunity for a community that thrives on collaboration and resilience to come together in support of an extraordinary cause.

The challenge was inspired by a deeply personal story.

Moya Cole Hospice cared for Stellanor Managing Director Gary Watson's father, Paul, during his final weeks and, more recently, his younger sister, Paula. The support they provided extended far beyond medical care. They supported an entire family through some of life's most difficult moments, offering dignity, compassion and comfort when it was needed most.

Sadly, this experience is far from unique. Many of us have family members, friends or colleagues whose lives have been touched by the work of a hospice. The care these organisations provide reaches far beyond patients themselves, supporting loved ones and carers at the moments they need it most.

Every day, Moya Cole Hospice supports people across Greater Manchester living with life-limiting illnesses. Like many hospices, it relies heavily on charitable donations to continue delivering these vital services.

That is why our industry is coming together.

Over six days in the Arctic wilderness, participants will face long distances, extreme weather and challenging conditions. Yet any hardship we experience will be temporary. The challenges faced by those living with serious illness, and by the families supporting them, are far greater.

Together, we aim to raise £1 million to help ensure that more families can receive the same outstanding care and support that so many have benefited from before us.
