Stella's Emergency Vet Adventure

Donation protected
There has always been at least one German Shepherd in my house since I was 5 years old. When the opportunity to adopt Stella arose, I couldn't say no. I was working at Lake Vet Clinic in Madison, SD at the time so she came to work with me nearly every day and played with the boarding dogs until she dropped. Never in my life have I seen such an attentive, loving, and loyal dog, and I couldn't imagine my life without her. I got very lucky with this smart girl. She is certified as an Emotional Support Animal and will become a therapy dog for seniors and hospital patients when we move to Oregon this Fall.

Unfortunately, she was in contact with a dog infected with Canine parvovirus and has been hospitalized at Fort Collins Veterinary Emergency and Rehabilitation Hospital since yesterday morning. She needs quick and aggressive treatment if she is going to pull through, but that won't happen without the finances. Her insurance will only cover up to $1,000 of the total bill, which has quickly climbed over $7,200. I will be able to take care of most of the total, but I will need some help. Anyone who has ever met Stella understands why I can't give up on her, especially if the only obstacle to her recovery is money.

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to read this, if you have questions about her or anything else don't hesitate to contact me. Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated, I will keep this post updated with more information as it is given to me.

Thanks again,

Jared
