Wednesday, November 15. The surgery went well. While she was in recovery she had a heart attack. The odds were stacked against her, along with other health issues. Her death was unexpected. Not only am I struggling with the loss of my mom, my best friend, I'm also struggling with the financial situation. I've been my mom's care giver for the last 23 years. I've been laid off for the last 4 months. I used the time off to help my mom get to appointments needed to prepare for some up coming surgeries and to also be available for the recovery period. As hard is this is for me to do, myself and my son Chase are hoping friends and family will come together and help us get through the next couple of months. Without her social security income and the care giver income I was receiving things will be tight for awhile. Our family is not a family that ever asks for help. If we don't have the money for something then we don't get it. So I'm asking all my friends and family to please share my story, so that my son and I can get through these next couple of months.
