Stefone's Legacy: A Fundraiser for His Final Rest

Donation protected
Hello, I am Kem Brown, one of three sisters and four brothers of Stefone and I stand before you with a heavy heart, yet also with a strong determination to honor the memory of my beloved brother, Stefone Blacksher. Stefone's journey in this world ended on August 4, 2023, leaving a void that words can hardly express. Today, I share with you the story of Stefone's life, his remarkable love for his children, his relentless battle against health challenges, and why I am committed to creating a fundraising campaign in his honor.

A Brother's Love:
Stefone wasn't just my brother; he was like a son, he was a confidant, a friend, and a source of inspiration. Growing up together, we shared countless memories, dreams, and laughter. Witnessing his unwavering dedication as a father, his capacity for love, and his strength in the face of adversity, I was constantly reminded of the remarkable person he was.

Stefone's Legacy as a Father:
Stefone was a shining example of what it meant to be a dedicated father. His five children were the heartbeats of his existence, and he poured his love, time, and energy into nurturing their growth and happiness. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will forever be etched in their minds. Stefone's children meant the world to him, and it is my fervent wish to ensure they can look back on his memory with pride and love.

A Four-Year Battle:
For four years, Stefone faced the insurmountable challenges of liver and kidney failure. Despite the pain and the limitations his health imposed, he soldiered on, determined to be present for his children. Three days of dialysis every week and monthly paracentesis were part of his routine, but he carried these burdens with remarkable strength. He was a true testament to the power of the human spirit.

Unfulfilled Dreams:
Stefone's dreams were simple but profound. He longed to rest beside our mother, Beverly "Mickey" Pope, who had left this world before him in April of this year. Unfortunately, his health conditions prevented him from obtaining life insurance, adding to the complexities of ensuring his final wishes are fulfilled. As his sister, I am determined to make sure that he gets the dignified farewell he deserves, and that his journey to the next chapter is as smooth as possible.

The Fundraising Campaign:
I am initiating this fundraising campaign to provide Stefone with the memorial he deserves and to alleviate the financial strain on just one person. Your support will not only contribute to giving him the respectful farewell he desired but also provide comfort and solace to his children, who have lost their devoted father.
