Stefie Fejes Asian Beach Volleyball Championships
Donation protected
Hi, I am Stefie, a 16 year-old, Year 11 student and passionate beach volleyball athlete who loves to travel and compete.
I have been selected to represent Australia at the 2021 Under-19 and Under-21 Asian Beach Volleyball Championships to be held in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand leaving on 29 June! This trip is going to be the most challenging in my life, I will be travelling with a few other athletes and one coach, living in a COVID-safe competition bubble. On returning to Australia, a mandatory, solitary 2-week hotel quarantine awaits.
Also, the top 5 teams from these Asian Championships will qualify for the World Junior Beach Championships in September this year.
I have been privileged to represent my country at a senior level in early 2020 at the Senior Asian Beach Volleyball Championships and this trip would help me towards my goal of representing Australia at the Olympics.
Despite the 2020 U19 Asian Championships being postponed three times, this past year I was fortunate enough to have a senior domestic beach volleyball season, playing with and against the top women’s teams in Australia and achieving podium finishes. My ranking is in the top 10 Australian Women’s beach volleyball athletes.
Due to high airfares for secure flights and the costs of quarantine, expenses for my trip are triple what they'd normally be.
Beach volleyball is a self-funded sport so any support is amazing!
Any donations are greatly appreciated and will help me pursue the sport I love to the highest level I can!
