In June of this year, Steffany suffered an injury while at work in which she fell 18ft from a scaffolding set up incorrectly and tumbled down a flight of stairs, leaving her with a severely injured finger and a broken nose. Under the instruction of her employer at the time, immediate medical attention was prolonged, resulting in a cascade of unfortunate events.
After several failed attempts by a local clinic to reset the finger without anesthesia, she was finally referred to the Emergency Department, where more failed attempts were made. Due to the amount of inflammation and delay in care, the only remaining option was admission to the hospital for immediate surgery to preserve the finger and hand function. Expectedly so, Steffany has had to take time away from work as her hand has been splinted for weeks and is now having to undergo intensive physical therapy to recover mobility of her hand. Additionally, her employer informed her they would not be taking responsibility, assisting with any medical costs, or offering paid time off, even though it resulted from negligence by the crew.
To know Steffany, is to know the most kind-hearted and hard-working woman out there. She takes life on with tremendous grace, never shying away from a challenge and representing women well in her profession. She contributes to her family and community whenever possible, never hesitating to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. If it's in your heart to do so, please contribute to our efforts in giving back to someone who gives so much. We hope to raise enough funds to cover the cost of medical expenses from this injury.
Much love and thank you!!
May it return to you x 1000.
