Steffanie’s fight against cancer

As some of you may know, Steff is beginning her battle against breast cancer. What some of you may not know is that this is coming at the end of quite a difficult year for her. At the same time as her marriage was ending , the Covid  pandemic led to her early retirement from her beloved 15 year career at WestJet. What this means is that not only does she no longer have employer sponsored health coverage or health benefits, but she has no option for any sort of disability leave and no job to come back to  after this fight is over. This also means she is not currently eligible for EI. As a member of our Community, former WestJetter, and mother, Steff needs our help during this difficult time. Fighting cancer and fighting for your life is difficult and disheartening at the best of times and facing this weeks after losing your job in the middle of a pandemic is almost unimaginably challenging. Please help however you can.
