Stefani's Fight: From Brutal Attack to Recovery

On Jan 21, 2025, Stefani Steerman was stabbed over 30 times while doing an in-home CNA job. She was caring for the mom of her assailant when the attack happened.

She was rushed to nearby EAMC with life-threatening injuries. She was stabbed over 12 times in her head alone. She also suffered wounds to her chest, arms, stomach, and legs. She spent over 38 days in the hospital fighting for her life.

As a result of the attack, she lost her home, job, and is now left with limited mobility, scarring, nerve damage, constant pain, shortness of breath, and nightmares.

She has to apply for disability because she’s no longer able to work.
