If you’re reading these words you’ve probably been blessed with Stefanie’s presence in one way or another.

 

If you know Stefanie, then you know the unique light she shines in every direction. Kind, genuine, selfless, witty, upbeat, positive, always up for an adventure.

 

This beautiful soul we all call our friend, our family, was dealt a card for a journey that will require a warrior’s heart. If anyone has that, it’ll be Stefanie. To hear the words “breast cancer with mastitis to lymph nodes” is terrifying and life changing. The spectrum of anxiety and fear is something many of us can only imagine.

 

As Stefanie’s support system there are ways we can help keep an infusion of light, hope and love in her and Aaron’s life. And we can’t forget Aaron, her amazing partner and future husband to be. Their magical wedding, which we were all eagerly awaiting in February of 2022, will have to be postponed until an unknown date. Devastated is an understatement.

 

Aaron and Stefanie have been living a nomadic life in their RV, working seasonally as white water raft guides, ATV tour guides, and wilderness campground hosts. Currently, they live near Bend, Oregon as they complete a summer at a campground resort. Stefanie is facing at least a year of treatment, which will require an abrupt change of pace and living conditions. She doesn’t yet qualify for disability or unemployment, and the adventurous traveling work they’ve done for several years won’t be an option.

 

Donations will be used to help Stefanie and Aaron pay for the expensive costs of treatment, purchase healthy food and groceries, buy the gas required for daily/weekly commutes to the hospital into Bend, and help them transition from RV living into a healing home where Stefanie can be wrapped in our love and comfort while undergoing aggressive treatment.

 

Stefanie and Aaron had no desire to ask our community for anything but prayers and positive energy.
