Stefani Thackerson's Fight Against Breast Cancer

Stefani Thackerson, wife of Cody Thackerson, and mother of three incredible children, ages 19, 6, and 2.

This year, Stefani received a life-changing diagnosis that was a devastating blow for her and her family. Stefani has already had numerous diagnostic imaging and testing done, consulted with multiple specialists, and has a long journey. Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen complication with the surgeon’s credentialing, Stefani’s surgery has had to be canceled, and she is now having to start all over with a new surgeon. As a result, Stefani will have two separate surgeries in which she is expected to be out of work for about 14 weeks in total. She is the primary insurance holder for her family, and while her job will be secured through FMLA, one of the struggles that her family will face is the loss of payment of the insurance premium during her leave of absence.

In addition to the struggles that the Thackerson family faces with Stefani’s diagnosis, her husband Cody recently had an accident that has incapacitated him and limited his mobility. This unfortunate incident will impact the need for assistance with childcare as well as transportation and care of Stefani while she is recovering from her operation.

Our goal in raising money is to alleviate the financial burden for this family to help with the cost of any additional testing, both surgeries, other cancer treatments, missed wages, insurance premium payments, etc.
