Stefani is recording her first studio album!

Hello to my friends and family!

 

It's time. I am ready. And, with the very helpful nudges from many of you, I'm finally making time to record my first album! My creative juices have been flowing, I've written a lot of music, and I will be going into the studio on April 9th to begin this journey.

 

As some of you know, making an album doesn't come cheap. It can get expensive paying for the studio time, marketing, album art, photos, childcare costs...etc. I am fortunate enough to have another job I love. But as a self-employed voice teacher and performance coach, I will have to cut back a little to make time for this and still be able to give plenty of time to my favorite job, being a mommy to my girls.

 

A few years back, while I was performing in a show in RI, I had a conversation with my friend and fellow actor Susann. I told her that I was feeling guilty about pursuing my performing career while being a mom. She said to me, "There is nothing selfish about showing your daughter how to follow a dream." That has always stayed with me. And Susann, I'm finally taking your advice!
