I’ve started this GoFundme in order to:

Hi my name is Sévérine.

You may know me on social and performing in Chicago as “Sévérine Cox.”

I’ve been transitioning for a number of years now, socially since 2018, medically since 2022.

I am starting this GoFundMe for additional help in securing gender affirming care in the form of doctor’s appointments, HRT medication, as well as medical procedures I need to simply exist as I truly am (and combat the beast we call Gender Dysphoria).

I make good money from my day jobs but will not have insurance until January of next year (as per their policy) and even then based on my experience when I *was* insured, there’s little to no guarantee that my coverage will help if at all when it comes to Transmedical expenses.

This GoFundMe will assist in offsetting some of the financial burden while I continue with normal living expenses, emergencies, and save for &/or pay for the following:

I have already had several consultations for gender affirming face and body procedures and it is my hope to have both of these fully funded by next year.

Anything helps.

I cannot begin to describe how much coming out as trans and living full time as a woman has lifted a burden I have carried since I was a child. I do not wish to live and pass away as anything other than the woman I’ve always been, and life is too short to not at least try and to what must be done to feel remotely at home in your skin.

Unfortunately these things come with a cost. And if anything the years of failed business, struggles with unemployment, a pandemic, and a fraught divorce have taught me it’s that the financial stability to achieve even bare minimal Transmedical goals is a privilege that is for all intents and purposes currently out of reach for me and will be for some time.
